Chloe Strauss is an IU graduate with degrees in Biology and Anthropology, and a Certificate in Underwater Resource Management. Chloe is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and DAN DFA PRO Instructor. Chloe is also currently employed by Divers Alert Network and served as their 2018 Research Intern.
Dr. Frederick H. Hanselmann ("Fritz") is an underwater archaeologist and Faculty in the Department of Marine Ecosystems and Society and part of the Exploration Sciences Program at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami, where he directs the Underwater Archaeology Program. Dr. Hanselmann earned his PhD from Indiana University in 2016. Having worked on underwater sites from a wide variety of time periods, his exploration and research ranges from submerged prehistoric deposits in springs and caves to historic shipwrecks in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the wreck of the Quedagh Merchant, abandoned by Captain Kidd in 1699 off the coast of Hispaniola.
Catherine Qualls ("Cassie") is a Marine Operations Technician with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and also a diving instructor in Key Largo, FL. Cassie graduated from IU in 2015 double majoring in Anthropology and Classical Civilizations and received a Certificate in Underwater Resource Management. She is currently working on her Masters in Underwater Archaeology from the University of Miami studying shipwreck remains at Molasses Reef, just off of Key Largo.
Robby Myers is a writer and media professional currently working as the Assistant Editor for Scuba Diving and Sport Diver magazines in Winter Park, Florida. Robby graduated from Indiana University in 2015 with a BA in Telecommunications, a minor in Biology and a Certificate in Underwater Resource Management. Robby started working at the magazines after graduation as the 2015 Bonnier Publishing Intern for the Our World Underwater Scholarship Society. He primarily works as part of ScubaLab, Scuba Diving’s gear testing division, where he is responsible for evaluating and reviewing the latest scuba gear.
