Eli is an undergraduate student majoring in Underwater Archaeology and Earth and
Atmospheric Sciences, as well as minoring in Geography. He is working on completing the
Underwater Resource Management Certificate. Eli has participated in 2023 Florida Keys
National Marine Sanctuary and 2025 Dominican Republic fieldwork. He is a second-year research
assistant for the Center of Underwater Science. Eli’s interests include shipwrecks and their
components, rock and mineral formations, climate change sciences, and coral reef restoration
and conservation. Eli is currently involved in Indiana University's research on the 16th century Punta Espada Shipwreck.
