Individualized Majors Program
The Individualized Major Program (IMP) allows students to design their own multidisciplinary major or minor, providing opportunities that other majors at the university typically do not offer. Previous students have taken advantage of the research and resources of the Center for Underwater Science to create majors in Underwater Archaeology, Marine Biology, and Marine Conservation. IMP promotes interdisciplinary research among students; the Center for Underwater Science collaborates with various other departments at Indiana University, including Biology, Anthropology, and Earth and Atmospheric Science to foster projects for IMP students. The Individualized Major Program requires students to design a final project which past students have completed on field research projects conducted by the Center of Underwater Science in the Dominican Republic, Florida, and the Cayman Islands.
