Curatorship MA; Certificate in Underwater Resource Management

Biography

Kenzie Day is a second-year graduate student in the Curatorship MA program who is also completing the Certificate in Underwater Resource Management. Kenzie is currently working as both a research assistant for the Center for Underwater Science as well as a curatorial assistant for the Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (IUMAA). Between these two roles Kenzie helps facilitate the research, conservation, and curation of artifacts for the upcoming IUMAA exhibition,Shipwrecks: Living Museums,of which she is a co-curator. Her current academic research focuses on Spanish colonial-era ceramics, specifically those of the mid-16th century Punta Espada Shipwreck. Kenzie participated in the 2025 Dominican Republic and Great Lakes field projects and is currently involved in IU’s academic diving program.
