Christopher Keil

Major:
MA Anthropology and Curatorship

Biography

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Cincinnati, with additional academic concentrations in Classical Civilization and Anthropology. His professional experience spans both terrestrial archaeology and museum curation. Driven by a desire to deepen his expertise, Christopher pursued graduate studies at Indiana University, focusing on underwater archaeology and the ancient Mediterranean world, particularly Ancient Greece. During this time, his fieldwork has included underwater archaeological projects in the Dominican Republic and Bulgaria, contributing to ongoing research in submerged cultural landscapes. In addition to his academic pursuits, Christopher serves as the Provenance Research Assistant for the ancient collection at the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art, where he supports efforts to document and contextualize the museum’s holdings through rigorous historical investigation.
