Indiana University Center for Underwater Science conducted underwater archaeological investigations of the historic shipwreck 18th Century Mock Spanish Shipwreck in order to produce accurate 3D models of the features, which will aid researchers and site managers in tracking the state of biological and cultural resources on the site. The results of these investigations can be used for baseline monitoring and management, as well as for increased interpretation for public outreach and education.
Pennekamp 3D Modeling
18th Century Pennekamp Anchor
18th Century anchor located as part of the mock shipwreck site in John Penneekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, Florida. The 3D anchor is missing its right fluke, but reprocessing could yield a more complete rendering.
