Indiana University Center for Underwater Science conducted underwater archaeological investigations of the historic shipwreck Muskegon (Peerless) in order to produce an accurate 3D model, which will aid researchers and site managers in tracking the state of biological and cultural resources on the Muskegon Nature Preserve. The results of these investigations can be used for baseline monitoring and management, as well as for increased interpretation for public outreach and education.
