Biography

Nathan is a first-year Master’s student in Environmental Sustainability, a third-year Underwater Science research assistant, and a Divemaster. He earned a B.S. in Biotechnology with a certificate in Underwater Resource Management in 2025. For the past three years, he has participated in IU field projects, including in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the Dominican Republic. He has also conducted research with Mote Marine Laboratory in the Florida Keys and recently completed a marine conservation internship with the Cap Cana Foundation in the DR. His primary interests are coral restoration, restoration ecology, and using photogrammetry to document and monitor submerged cultural resources.
